Over the last few days I took a trip to Boston/Cambridge for a conference. In between long hours of absorbing information, I didn’t have a lot of time to hang out in old haunts. I did wander through the MIT campus one evening, to see what had changed, but mostly I was too tired to do much exploring.
I did grant myself one indulgence: Hanging out for a while in the bar in my hotel. As I’ve posted before, I adore hotel bars. The Charles Hotel, where I stayed, has a few bars, in different styles. I did a sketch in Rialto while I waited for my roast duck sandwich — which was fantastic, by the way. Recommended highly.
I love this sketch! Especially its Giacomettisque quality.
Did you draw it? If you did, its one of your best art works.
Madhu
Thank you so much, Madhu! Yes, I drew this on my iPad, using the Brushes app for iPad. I tried using my finger at first, but I found that difficult, so I switched to using an iPad stylus. It was quite a lovely way to spend the evening.
