  1. This news made me sad. He seemed like a genuine and genuinely good person who was less interested in celebrity and more in helping those who hadn’t experienced the luck he had. (I love his take on “luck” and giving back, as he describes on the Newman’s Own site.) We’ll definitely miss those blue eyes.

It aches my heart to find out that we’ve lost such an ICON. It tears that heart apart to know that we’ve lost a REAL MAN. As a kid, I always felt a strong pull to Mr. Newman. He always seemed so genuine and very intelligent. He kept things so simple even when the times were so hectic. Yes, we have lost one of the greatest actors of all times. And yet, that’s the last thing I think about when I hear his name. He was a HUMANITARIAN!!! He cared about those that no one else cared about. You could see it in his eyes. I think that’s what we loved about him the most. His eyes said more than “I’m handsome”, “I’m an artist”,or “I’m of the elite”. They said I love my fellow man, woman and children. Mrs. Joanne Newman, I pray that God gives you the strength to carry on until you see your beloved again. And know that there are millions that cry with you today. God bless you and the rest of your family!
    Sincerely,
