This is a loft in the Strip District of Pittsburgh:

Window side of loft

I’ve long wanted to live in a place like that. And as of today, I do.

In addition to my lovely house in Butler, I now have a loft apartment dahntahn. It will make it much easier to meet clients in Pittsburgh and south while staying connected with my clients in Butler and north.

I signed the lease a few weeks ago, but today I got the keys. I’ve been humming the “Mary Tyler Moore Show” theme all day. No word on whether I can turn the world on with my smile, but I do know that love is all around.

Congratulations Cindy! Good move, but we still want you in Foxburg occasionally.
    The best!

  2. I was just remarking to myself today how lucky I was to have good nutrition through college, courtesy of the Strip. Back when the old student caf was still serving “Grade D but edible”, I happened upon it during one of my early ‘burgh walkabouts. No more big bird and bus rides to Oakland. The added health bonus came with having no car and an apartment up by the arena. Short of rappelling (and trespassing), the weekly adventure necessarily involved a long trek uphill with a bursting knapsack festooned with bananas and a shopping bag dangling from every finger. What sturdy thighs I had. Farmers markets are too easy.

  3. My wife and I are thinking of moving back to Pittsburgh and retiring to a loft in the Strip District in a few years. I’d love to hear about life as a loft resident in the Strip if you feel like posting!
